Every democratic movement is only as strong as the volume of voices behind it.

Jaitapur Speaks is committed to amplifying the voices of opponents to the plant, but we need your help. We need to generate media to let the world know that the people won't let the Jaitapur Nuclear Power Project continue. We want to feature protesters, concerned citizens and scientists from Jaitapur, Maharashtra, India and the world. There are several ways you can help:

• Give us footage yourself! You could simply take a short video of yourself explaining why you oppose the project, or yourself and a group of friends. If you're more ambitious, and local to the Jaitapur area, you can take footage of the project affected areas and comment on what you want to save about them. You can send us footage of protests in action. Upload whatever your message to the Indian government and the world is, put it on youtube or send it to jaitapurspeaks@gmail.com.  Let us know wherever we can find your video. Even a 30 second clip of your face and your statement of opposition is invaluable in the effort to letting the world know what is happening!
• Get us in contact with people with a story: Jaitapur Speaks has some limited abilities to travel and do filming ourselves. We know most people don't have both cameras and internet access, so we want to make it easier for those people to share their voices with the world. Contact us at jaitapurspeaks@gmail.com and let us know how we can reach people from Jaitapur and the surrounding area with a powerful story to tell. Also, please feel free to try and connect with other activists and concerned citizens on our forum and let folks know you want to share media with the world. You may be able to connect with other people who can help film your story better or faster than we can.
  
• Write us your statements: if you don't want to be filmed, write us a short personal statement. We may choose to feature it on JaitapurSpeaks.com, or use selections of it for future compilations. Please, feel free to republish your statement on our forums, and use them to get in contact with other activists.
